Apple ’n’ Peanut Crisp

4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced

6 Tbs sugar, divided

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

2 Tbs water

1/2 cup quick-cooking oats

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

3 Tbs SKIPPY® Creamy Peanut Butter

3 Tbs butter

4 cups natural vanilla ice cream


Heat oven to 425°F. Coat 8x8-inch pan with cooking spray

In pan, toss together apples, 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle with water

In medium bowl, combine oats, flour and remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Cut in peanut butter and butter with pastry blender or two knives until mixture is size of small peas. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over apples; cover with aluminum foil.

Bake crisp 20 minutes. Remove foil; bake uncovered 20 minutes longer or until apples are tender and topping is crisp and golden. Serve warm or at room temperature, topped with ice cream.
